Welcome back, everyone. In the last two episodes, Loquatia showed you around the grounds of her new home ...

... as well as the basement and first floor.

In this final episode, she will take you on a tour of the upper floor.

Hi, everyone. Welcome to the final episode of my home tour (sponsored by AnjelStar's Builders). This time, I will take you up to the second floor that houses the bedrooms and the master bath.

First ... the outer foyer of the second floor ... It has a desk and computer as well as the exercise equipment.

This door ... made of a very fine pine ...

... leads us to the family and game room.

I plan to have parties (eventually), and I'm sure that once Keisha makes friends, she's going to want to have parties as well. I figure that this room will have a bit of everything to entertain just about everyone.

I may rearrange this room in the future ... maybe move some things down to the basement.

Now ... this door (made of the same fine pine as the other door) ...

... leads to the master bath. Gorgeous, isn't it? I may reconstruct this room to separate it into two bathrooms. It depends on some things (mainly on Keisha).

And finally ... the bedrooms. This door leads to my room.

It's a bit on the "wild" and "crazy" side ...

... but that's me! (Sorry for not making the bed.)

This door leads to Keisha's room.

I think that you can see that she has a thing for what lies beyond our world.

Home Sweet Home (part 2)

In our last installment, Loquatia was kind enough to show us around the rather extensive grounds of her new property.

Join us for the 2nd (of three) visit to her home where she has kindly offered to show us around the first floor!

Good morning, everyone. I hope y'all aren't too exhausted from walking around with me yesterday. Today, I thought I'd take you through the lower floors of the house starting with the basement.

There's really not much to it yet. I'm sure as our lives continue to grow and evolve, we'll end up putting some stuff down here.

Let me take you back up into the main floor.

This room is part of the living room. It's where I decided was a good place to have a music room ... although this "room" is not enclosed.

It also houses our big screen TV and our video game system.

If you'll follow me into the other half of the living room, you'll find that it's a very comfortable place to sit and watch TV or just chill out, read a book.

It's not too cluttered ... yet.

Next, I would like to briefly show you the ground floor bathroom ...

It has everything that we need. And if you'll follow me across the hall to the study I can show you our modest library.

And Keisha likes to paint ... so I thought putting an easel in here with all of her art reference books would be useful (not to mention a computer for internet research).

Now I know the room is shaped oddly, but I'm an odd person. One day, I may do a slight remodel so that the easel is not blocking the window. But it works for now.

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen ... as I DO enjoy cooking.

And the dining room is JUST across the hall ...

The dining room is just off of the sitting area of the living room ... so it's pretty convenient (in my honest opinion).

And that, everyone, is the lower floor. Join me next time when I take you on a tour of the top floor.

Home Sweet Home (part 1)

"Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home ..."

That's what Loquatia's grandmother told her once. And after the divorce (in which her husband got everything ... except for the most important thing), Loquatia remembered what her grandmother told her, and immediately set out to find a little slice for her and Keisha.

She'd managed to save a bit of money during her marriage, and with the inheritance from her grandmother and mother (that her deadbeat husband never knew about), she found a nice piece of property.

She instinctively knew that it would be a great place to build her dream home.

It had nice firm ground ...

And the environment was pleasant. Yes ... this would be the PERFECT place to raise Keisha and make life better for themselves. So she immediately started researching for the best contractors. She found one in AnjelStar's Builders.

And they built her dream home:

In this first of a three-episode tour of the Sims home, join Loquatia as she gives us her point of view with the outside grounds.

Good morning, everyone. The crew of Anjelstar's Builders who built my home have asked that I give a tour of the house and the grounds, but since it's so extensive, this tour will be broken into three parts. This part is on the outside grounds. Please, follow me.

Welcome to the front walk! If you'll follow me up the path ...

... I'll give you a brief glance of this beautiful, dark hardwood front porch.

Fabulous, isn't it? Next ... follow me through the front door ...

... into the main hall ...

to the back door ...

... where I'll be more than happy to show you the backyard.

But first! The back porch. It's made of the same wood as the front porch, but it's SO much bigger!

You can see a view of the back porch from over here ...

... by the two telescopes I purchased for nightime viewing of the cosmos. Keisha is REALLY into astrology ... and she's got me hooked, too.

Now ... if you'd follow me back around, I'll show you the man-made pond I had put in. Keisha is also really big into Nature. Why not indulge her obsessions? I think she wants to be a scientist when she grows up.

If you follow me aound the back edge ...

... I'll take you around to the other side.

And that, ladies and gentlemen ... is the EXTENSIVE grounds of our new home. Keisha hasn't seen the house yet, and I really hope she doesn't think that I went overboard. We had so little when she was young, I just want to give her the best!

A Family Moment

Starting over is never an easy thing to do, but if there was one thing that Loquatia believed, it was that things happened for a reason. For that reason, she decided to document her life, and the life of her family (and descendents).

She started this by having a photo session with Keisha.

Photographer: Okay, ladies. Are you ready?

Loquatia: Ready and raring to go!
Keisha: Mo-oM!

Loquatia: What's the matter, baby-doll?
Keisha: You're being WEIRD.

Loquatia: Oh? Am I?
Keisha: Ye-es!

Loquatia: Well, your ma-ma is just being herself, baby.
Keisha: Well, can you try to be a LITTLE more serious? Please? My FRIENDS might see these pictures.

Loquatia: You mean like ... this?
Keisha: Umm ... no.

Loquatia: Life is short, Keisha. Take the bull by the horns and RUN with it!
Keisha: A bull? What do you take me for? A Spanish Toreador?

Loquatia: Nope. Your my little firecracker.
Keisha: You got THAT right!

Photographer: Okay, ladies! On the count of three. One ... two ... THREE!

Photographer: Great job, ladies!

Starting Off ...

Loquatia Sims ...

Why on earth would ANYONE name their kid with such a name?

Well, it was because her grandmother (long dead now) had a wicked sense of humor. And when she (Loquatia) first entered the world, her grandmother said she entered it with a song in her heart and words on her tongue (babble-speak though it may have been back then) ... "Loquacious" her grandmother said when she first held the child in her arms.

But anyway ... Loquatia Sims was newly divorced and starting over ... with her daughter Keisha. "A spitting image of her mother!" her mother used to say before she passed on.

This is their story ...
